How To Prepare
- Arrive hair and make up ready (as applicable).
- Plan to be ready 5-10 minutes prior to you scheduled start time.
- If you are coming from an active class (like choreograph) or other activity, make sure you have plenty of time to cool down, stop sweating, etc.
- What to wear:
- Wear clothes that are comfortable and that make you look great.
- Clothing should be close fitting and your appropriate size. Avoid baggy clothing as it does not translate well in photos.
- Clothes should be neatly pressed and should look new or like new. They should NOT be stuffed into a bag; please bring them on a hanger if you plan on changing into them before your session
- Avoid large logos or branding
- A simple dark/black shirt/blouse/dress is often a good option
- Avoid white shirts unless you plan to wear it underneath something. It can often make you look washed out
- Darker clothes attract less attention and put the attention on your face and eyes
- Solid colors are great. Avoid busy patterns and large lines or stripes. No glitter, sparkles, rhinestones, sequins
- Blue/green/turquoise clothing can help emphasize blue/green/hazel eyes
- Avoid red as a dominant color
- Different necklines will change the apparent shape of your face. Try out a variety different shirts/blouses to see what works best.
- Turtlenecks are almost always a bad idea (since they crowd the face)
