Session Costs and What You Get
Each time slot can be reserved for $75+tax. This cost will include the shoot time itself, as well as an emailed online gallery with high resolution download enabled. You can expect to receive 3-8 images on average per time slot, but this number does depend on dancer’s ability and complexity of the attempted pose.
How To Prepare
- Arrive hair and make up ready.
- Arrive in costume.
- If you are doing anything en pointe, please have your pointe shoes on and ready.
- Be warm and stretched.
- If you are taking photos in multiple costumes, be prepared to change quickly. Do not try to change hair or make up if you have multiple time slots back to back.
Multiple Costumes
If your dancer has multiple costumes, we strongly recommend signing up for multiple slots; either back to back or with a time slot in between. The following are recommendations for the number of session slots for a given number of costumes
- 1 Costume: One Time Slot
- 2-3 Costumes: Two Time Slots
- 4+ Costumes: Three Time Slots
FAQ
-
- Q: How do I prepare for my shoot?
A: Prepare a good list of dance poses to photograph; this is the most important thing. You or your dancer knows their abilities the best, so make sure the photos you want to capture are things you can perform well. Also check out my photoshoot guide. - Q: Can I change costumes mid-shoot?
A: Yes, but know that this will cut into your shoot time, so either make sure it is a quick change or sign up for multiple slots - Q: I have two kids in dance, can they both sign up for one time slot?
A: You can do this but I would advise reserving at least two time slots back to back to make sure there is enough time to showcase each dancer as individuals and as siblings. - Q: Can I get a headshot while you are at it?
A: No, this shoot is completely focused on full body poses. - Q: What if we arrive late to our session?
A: We will try to find a way to fit him/her in. However, if the schedule is very full this may not be possible without a great deal of waiting.
